Downtown Women for Change is a grassroots organization founded by New York women in 2016. We are committed to preserving and advancing women's rights, mentoring women who choose careers in public policy, and working to elect Democratic women who will fight for legal and accessible abortion.

Who We Are: We realize many of you do not live downtown, but we chose the name because downtown is where we started—immediately after the 2016 election—and downtown Manhattan is historically associated with progressive political thought. So in that sense, Downtown is a state of mind.
